Healthy Kansas Kids Program is a project grant working to improve physical activity and healthy eating for Kansas kids by providing coaching, support and professional development events to child care professionals.
Eligible applicants:
Must care for children under 36 months of age for the duration of the project through June 2010
Purchase a Professional Development Membership with Child Start Inc. for the 2009-2010 program year.
Participants enrolled in the program will receive:
A mini grant for approved equipment to promote physical activity and healthy eating in the child care setting
Focused support from an Infant/Toddler Specialist
Professional evaluation of program
On–site and one-on-one visits with an Infant/Toddler Specialist
Training opportunities and support to achieve goals set for the program
Participants are required to attend specified professional development events (A Professional Development Membership will cover the cost of the requirement) and must also complete a taxpayer identification form (W-9). The mini grant is taxable income.
